guilloché dial
Thank you for all the inputs. The reason why I am leaning to the stamp procedure is based on the following two observations:
1. Patek clearly state that the dial of 5098 is "crafted from a plate of gold and guillochéd by hand over its entire surface", while I can't find any official description on the dial making of both 5110 and 5130.
2. I am pretty sure that most Breguet dials are hand guillochéd. The cutting edges and forms of the guilloché are quite different from those of the 5110 dial.
Let me try to search for some better macro closeups for your comparison.
