5110 dial guilloché
Having owned 5110P for almost seven years, I am still quite curious whether the central dial of 5110 is guilloché by machine/hand or stamped? It was very finely made, but I personally think most probably it was stamped. Does anyone have any clue? Many thanks.

Have visited Patek factory last summer. They use guilloche rose engine to make those dials on all of their guilloche dial watches. Have seen 5130 dial being made that way, so I would assume 5110 dial is made the same way. Hope this helps

Please see the details on the close up. I will rather guess that it is stamped than hand or machine guilloched. Every and each small pyramid shaped unit is squeezed to the form than cut as guilloche method is applied. The photo is credited to a purist who...

Based on my observation on both dials (5110 and 5098's) and many other dials of Vacheron Constantin, Breguet, I believe that the 5110 has a wonderful and very refined center dial which is stamped. Stamping is not as prestigious as guilloche from technical...
