funny thing is...
I bought this watch when I still was pretty new to luxury watches. To me, the 5135 was just what a Patek was supposed to look like... in my mind, at least. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was 'the one.' But admittedly, I had not been exposed to this site yet, and had not seen what was 'popular.' I like a lot of Pateks, but agree that there is a following for some of them that has driven prices to a level I can't quite get my head around. For me, the 5135 is a unique reference that exudes understated luxury.

i agree it doesn’t get due airtime in the Patek range - but as a standalone watch, it needs more attention. Very masculine-ly elegant, which I think is the issue How do you find the comfort of the lugs?
The lugs are fine..
The angle of the photo makes it look like the lugs are hanging off my wrist. Below is another shot that is more straight on. It’s a big watch, no doubt, but wears very comfortably. ...
