i agree it doesn’t get due airtime in the Patek range - but as a standalone watch, it needs more attention. Very masculine-ly elegant, which I think is the issue
The angle of the photo makes it look like the lugs are hanging off my wrist. Below is another shot that is more straight on. It’s a big watch, no doubt, but wears very comfortably.
I bought this watch when I still was pretty new to luxury watches. To me, the 5135 was just what a Patek was supposed to look like... in my mind, at least. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was 'the one.' But admittedly, I had not been exposed to this site yet, and had not seen what was 'popular.' I like a lot of Pateks, but agree that there is a following for some of them that has driven prices to a level I can't quite get my head around. For me, the 5135 is a unique reference that exudes understated luxury. cheers Drew
