Fitting under shirt cuff - ALS 1815 Chrono vs PP 5170

I recently tried on the A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Chronograph rose gold (black dial) and it's a beautiful watch.  I made sure to wear a dress cuff and suit coat to the try-on to ensure the look of the watch was conservative, understated and dressy enough.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to try on a Patek 5170r to compare the appearance of the two watches.  I know the dimensions of the two watches are nearly identical.  However I've heard/read that the Lange wears thicker or perhaps only appears chunkier due to the rather straight slab sides of the dial.  When I wore the 1815 Chrono and stood up to ensure my dress sleeve would slide down over the watch smoothly I noticed that the watch had a tendency to catch the edge of the cuff which would make me have to wiggle my wrist so the cuff could slide over the case.

If any Patek 5170 owners are out there reading this, could you tell me if the 5170 slides under a dress cuff somewhat consistently or do you find yourself having to manually arrange the shirt cuff over the Patek case to get your cuff to drop down?

I'm particularly interested in seeing pictures of an ALS 1815 Chrono rose gold with white dial fitting over a dress shirt cuff, as well as a Patek 5170 rose gold with a white dial fitting over a dress cuff.  Many thanks!

Robert

The 5170 is and wears thinner

and is more elegant than the austere Lange. I kind of prefer the Lange over the Patek here. All a matter of taste.

I own the 5170P and it is a wonderful dress or everyday watch, yes even with the diamond hour markers, the 1815 wears bigger and IMHO does not fit the standard of a dress watch as well as the 5170...Jim
