First buy for 2010?
I made the exciting pilgrimage to my AD yesterday and picked up a little something...

Not too long ago I was of the opinion that Nautilus and Aquanaut weren't "real" Pateks. I was bound and determined to find a nice weekend watch without spending Patek prices for it. The more I looked the more flustered I became with nothing really striking my fancy. I can't get excited about the Royal Oak and my contrarian streak keeps me away from Rolex. The Nautilus slowly grew on me and I zeroed in on the 5980 and 5712. the 5712 is so light, thin and comfortable that I finally decided on that (even though I am a chrono lover).

Man, Patek knows how to design a dial!

I'm going to have to slow down on these watches soon, but I have another one or two up my sleeve (or soon to be) for this year.
Best to all of you,
Steve
