I recently purchased a rose gold 2526 with its original rose gold bracelet. Truly a magnificent piece. J Unfortunately the dial has some hair lines on it. I asked the owner about the cause of the hair lines and he told me it happened while the watch was being serviced at a local watch maker in the early 1990's. L After he received the watch he left it in his safe deposit box till now.
I contacted PP in Geneva and was told that they no longer have the enamel dial, but they do have a non-enamel replacement with rose gold markers. My question is, should I replace the dial or leave it original but not perfect? How would the replacement dial effect the value of this piece? (Keep in mind the current dial has hairlines on it). Finally is it really impossible to find a correct replacement dial for this watch? Any one knows of one for sale?
Thank you in advance & looking forward to your responses.
