Disagree somewhat
in regard to the blue vs black dial.
One of the dial characteristics that we hold dear about the Nautilus series is the "striated" texture of the dial. Black dials with this texture are stunning. I think these can be seen on the 3711, 5711G, and new version of 5980. Maybe also adds a touch of elegance, if taking away a touch of sport. Just as beautiful and classic as the blue dials IMHO, though the blue is more in line with the original 3700.
The black dial on the 3710 is a different beast IMHO. Flat black dial is just not the same, and that watch has romans to boot (rather than stick markers), so not a great reference to use to compare Nautilus black to blue. But definitely a cool watch with the unique comet PR indicator.

Hi, if can get hand on 5711/1A now at a good price n love the design , get it! Look at all the prices of the new releases by Patek, they are way higher than the current models.
I would take this as a standard reply.
I do not really believe that the staff in the Salons would know about the new releases. If they would, more info would surely leak before Baselworld. What comes to Nautilus, I think that the blue dial really makes the watch. I have 3712 and 3710 and there...

AP has made their name with countless variants or RO, so...
why wouldn't Patek add one or two varieties more of the Nautilus? (AP has also made their name with other extraordinary watches... just to be very fair... but that wasn't my point for this answer.)

before the black dial 5980 was release I thought I love it black more then blue, but now I love a blue dialed Nautilus more!
