Dato vs 5960
Has this been asked? Surely this thought must have entered some people's minds!!
We have 2 inhouse designed movements, the Dato with a big date and jumping minutes, the 5960 with an unusual layout chrono and an annual calendar. What do you choose?
What I see:
Both Chronos are unusual, the Dato with jumping minutes and the layout of the 5960. The Dato has big date and the 5960 has a more complicated annual calendar. Though choice! The calendar function is more complex in the 5960. The jumping minutes amybe more complex in the Dato vs a new layout on the 5960 (but i dont actually know, just gut feel!). Whatever I choose, the movts and technicals are unique. I think the 5960 is prob harder to find and buy, so maybe rarer?
What I will choose to buy:
The Dato prob... I just love the aesthetics more, but only in the RG and silver dial. I dont like the black dials Dato much so i would chose the 5960 ahead of that.
What are your prferences???
