Patek Philippe

Considering you're asking yourself the question would indicate you're not totally convinced it's the right one for you.  I've never bought a watch where I needed encouragement from others - that's simply an indication that I didn't like it enough on my own accord. 

Pros about the 5740: it's cool, it's thin, it's a hot product.  It's heavy! 

Cons about the 5740: it's got a weird font that is not a part of the Nautilus fonts used in the past.  When I first saw the 5740, as a Nautilus owner, I was a bit surprised.  Almost wondered if I was getting fake news or if it was a fake watch.  Of course, most people won't notice this.  You can't wear this watch in bad neighborhoods and not even some good ones.  Might need a security escort to come with the watch.  

Overall, if you didn't like the 5711/1, then I don't think you'll like this one a whole lot.  As personally, I would probably like the 5711/1R more than the 5740.
