Congratulations!
This is my favorite of the current Patek line and the one I'd most like to own. Short of something crazy like a 5275P or a 5016 of any stripe, the 5236 embodies so much of what I love about the company. I'm not surprised by the dragging calendar turnover, because instantaneous perpetual calendars are rare and shockingly expensive even by PP standards. This is a super cool watch that looks as special as it is, and I can't think of a neater way to get into Patek today. From what I understand, this isn't an allocated model (for dealers) or an application piece (for clients), and thank God for both. There's enough of that already.
My only real objection here is that the calendar -- which is innovative -- still relies on many dimple adjusters to correct all its indications, which is not innovative. UN has had crown setting of QPs for almost 30 years and IWC for almost 40, so hopefully Patek is thinking about its next move for its signature complication. This type of multi-trigger calendar tech is older than Henri Stern.
Wear your new watch in good health and good times. Please post images frequently!

Thanks for sharing my happiness and excitement. I'm savoring. I spoke to a watchmaker today of the dealer that sold the watch and he explained that the instantaneous perpetual functionality cost a lot of "energy" so to speak, so it is more energy efficien...

I since learned by a watchmaker that the gradual changeover is much more power efficient, the cost of a snap from an energy standpoint is higher. But solving such problems is of course not out of the question.
Beautiful watch

Congrats on getting it, there is a slow in demand for sure and Mr Stern confirmed it in a recent interview. I love this watch, but with its price sitting way above a normal PP-PC and slightly less than PP-PCC I would rather save up and get me a 5270. Just...
