As a python lover myself (I have no straps, but many, many belts! ;-) I don't think it looks bad, though as you say darker tones perhaps will match the case color a tad better...

Maybe try not to change it for a while and see if you get used to it though -- it's nonetheless a strap that displays character and is not too far from your original intentions....However, as I said in another thread, it might be hard to beat the original Patek rubber strap for this model! ;-) Cheers.

So I’m not too sure if this will patina further. I would think so and in that case, the darken tones will definitely be even better! Thanks for the encouraging comments.

Very well done. It bridges the striking case with the more casual dial, and brings a great sophistication to it. I agree with you on more dark patches, but think you knocked it out of the park as-is. And nothing some alcohol and a brown sharpie can't fix....
