Aquanaut line
I share you opinion concerning this Dual Time complication. I made a nautilus 5990 post in which I talked about this feature: it is the same in the 5164 and the 5990 and it is a very clever one, easy and secure to use. Here: www.watchprosite.com

The Aquanaut 5164 is a great Patek sport watch you can use in every situation.
Will they add another reference to the 5164 and 5167, we don't know but it may be a cool addition indeed (Annual Calendar, chrono...)
I think the Aquanaut is completely integrated in the whole patek catalogue, hence, my opinion is that I don't see it disappear.
Thus, we could really see new versions in the future.
I was going to add something about what Kari said: the Aquanaut is made for people needing a kind of toolwatch and more "under the radar" if used for holidays or business: that's why Dual Time or hour-only layout was chosen. Considering this, do we need a Chrono or a Perpetual Calendar? I'm not sure. They keep these kind of functions for the other references and families which are already quite large.
This being said, we can't be more precise about the "when"!
Cheers, Mark

Aquanaut complications

I love my Aquanaut for comfort in all weather, slim profile and all round stealth. I'm sorely tempted by the 5164 which has a very nice complication but it is relatively easy to add or subtract time differences. I'd love to see other variants of the Aquan...
This is a tricky question

Patek is producing maximum 20% of their output in steel. My understanding is that they prefer to place the complications mostly to watches made of "noble" material. The problem is that PP can't make everything to everybody and many additional complicated ...

Certainly I\'d agree that Patek look to limit their complications to the noble materials but at the same time they have executed complications in steel cases such as the 5712 Nautilus beautifully, giving functionality whilst maintaining the look and sliml...
Probably it would.

But I do not think Patek will choose that route. Steel will be always a rare material for Patek and I am amazed that there is a watch like 5960/1A. I think it offers really great value and removing the bracelet, I am sure it's possible to order a rubber s...
