5170 - 5270 ... compare the price with the price 5 years ago ( I know it were the 5070 and 5970 at that time) the 5170 is about 70% more expensive than the 5070 and the 5270 is about 60% more expensive than the 5970. And I'm pretty sure the production num...

In an earlier post I was saying: 40% increase in two years is too much. I was saying that even complicated watches like the 5270 will "end" in the window. Am I tempted? A bit, to be honest, but than again: ... Thanks for this amazing post Moritz

Perhaps Pateks are for the ones who are getting a 20% increase of their salary every year... I am not among those lucky ones. There are several PP watches I would like to buy: 5140P and 5170. However, the prices are not sensible anymore and these two watc... 

some could say the prices for Porsche are getting a bit out of hand. i still remember a time when you could purchase a 911 for $70k and a 911 Turbo for $120k.

Both watches and cars, amongst others are taxed at various levels. Watch MSRP in most countries do not flow back to the manufacturers as well, so what's the diff? Best, Horo

the times when I saw 3710, 3711, 5070 ... waiting (begging) in the windows. So what´s new? Just saw this one ... ... recently and was told the problem is the "colour" - most of the time. It is just not the prefered version. PP Grand Complications - those ...  

Nobody will pas this AD and say: what a lovely watch! I wonder how much it costs? As our friend who took the picture: only insider will understand. Anyway, it is as it is and this piece is quite a trophy for a watch nutt and not an inv... . Best Moritz va... 

price increases combined with less interesting designs (my opinion only) and somber economies globally. I love PP watches but the new watches especially the chronos in recent years do not have the same character as the lemania-based ones. 5270's and 5170'... 

I for one prefer 2nd hand PP in the current situation. Get it saloon and its like brand new again, The savings can be quite significant IMHO.

For some models is making watch collecting a bit interesting. Average wait time may cut down. But there's a steep price to it. One tends to snap more frequently for those models that sing nicely. Will price go down eventually? Maybe not. Hence, before it ...
