I still could not get the PP World Time out of my mind. Had owned a PP5130g when it was first launched but sold it later due to somewhat loss of love which I can't explain in absolute terms. The PP world time is still such an iconic model in Patek's lineup that it has to be included in any decent collection.

Had been mulling over the current release PP5230g and really love the center guilloche and also the size but unfortunately it was not available at the Patek Boutique during that time. Considered the P5930g too and felt I much prefer it without the chrono function and a micro rotor is a must.

Then I chance upon a preowned PP5130p and started to compare it with previous models and consulted a few friends including Gordon (GLau) for their insights and advice. Besides the case design, other key factors includes the type of hands and center guilloche. One thing that really stands out for me is the scissors hands on the 5130 and next is the engine turned guilloche sunburst dial. The platinum version was the icing on the cake and I finally decided to pull the trigger. Below are some pictures to share. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
