Hi,

The 5296 is probably a very good start if it appeals you (it appeals to me). A traditionnal yet modern watch from a great brand.

Certainly a very reliable option too.

I don't know which version you identify by "sectoral" dial, perhaps the "painted" one, vs the newer applied indexes one (that I prefer)?

I don't know for RD. I used to like their designs during the first years but it's no longer the case. I have no idea of their reliability.
