I have been wearing my 5970p now for 20 days and am winding it every day at approximately the same time, per the instruction booklet. My watch, thus far, is running 90 seconds+ fast over the last 20 days. Is this acceptable or should I take it into Patek ...

Well, the new PP Seal specs specify that “ For calibers with diameters of 20 mm or more, the rate accuracy must lie within the range of -3 and +2 seconds per 24 hours.”

The specifications mentioned before might be more doable for an automatic movement. A manual can not keep the power as constant as the auto can do and hence it is "less" accurate. Again: a very good accuracy ! Regards Moritz

I have always found the manual winding watches to be more accurate over the self winding, no matter what the brand. I think there are just less moving parts and the wind from the rotor is inconsistent at best given all the wrist positions and amount of mo...
