My first Patek Philippe - Calatrava 5227
Well, it's taken a while but I finally decided to buy my first Patek.
I felt it had to be a Calatrava. I like automatic watches with sweeping seconds. This one really spoke to me with its officer caseback yet thin enough to tuck under fitted shirts. Would have done without the date, but it is close to perfection to me.. I like it a lot!
As im a techie guy, cant leave a post without some accuracy stats.
After settling in for some weeks, the watch is accurate within 0.5 seconds per day. It seems to be a little bit slow on my wrist, then gains a little bit overnight - essentially compensating overall. Beats even my JLC master geo - Im impressed. Well within the -2/+3s range promised by Patek.
Overall a very happy purchase so far.

Saw it in the metal once and almost pulled the trigger... But the price was a deterrent for me (lacked watch funds then lol). The hunter back and cream lacquered dial are to die for. Great choice and wear in the best of health and joy! :) Cheers Robin
