Patek Philippe

Thought I'll add to it, after seeing a few PCC posts here. The 5270 is my favourite Patek, unless I can find a way to stretch to those unreachable MRs. Many here prefer its esteemed predecessor, the mighty 5970, but I am a little late… and the cleaner dia...  

Way too big. Like carrying a frying pan on the wrist.

But the P salmon is very special. Lots of things to love about it besides the dial color / case material combo. I find the Arabic numerals in the top and baton markers on the bottom extremely interesting as well. Well done!

And the strap choices are nice as well.

I haven't handled the 5970P IRL. And I am not prepared to do so anytime soon.

The size is a bit big for my wrist but if the 5970 stocks have tarnished hands, might as well go for the 5270 instead. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah... might be a bit big. And for the oxidised hands, some says best to leave them as-is....

The discoloration can give the hands a unique and charming look.. sometimes a rainbow effect ...

The 5970 was the watch that exposed me to the world of horology! It's on the grail list as a future part of the collection but I am happy to say I have had such a great experience learning from the day I saw this watch.

You are the first person I've seen who owns two 5270s. My favourite is the salmon dial. I am joining you with mine. On a side question, where are your OEM straps from? Cheers! ...
