As of the 1st July all AD's must sell their stock completely unwrapped. The brown box is for dealers only and cannot be passed onto clients. Patek is keen to stamp out Grey market dealers that buy boxed items from AD's and reselling them on.

My impression was that the "double sealed" would not exist more, that is the plastic wrap around the watch and the little cardboard box that it comes in, will not be given to the customer. Could it be that your AD has mixed up the message from PP?

In fact whether we talk about the usual box we see in NafetS's answer or the one you are posting, no other box than the nice wooden presentation box should be provided with the watch. Some retailers have been providing the first one often but they shouldn... 

You were referring to the cardboard box the presentation box comes in. I think most people can live without that. The box people want is the shipping box the actual watch is shipped in from the factory to the AD. It makes a nice storage box and is very us...

Thank you for your feedback. I too believe that the outer brown carton box should be given to customers. I agree that ultimately it is the watch that is the most important item but I have seen Patek improve their packaging over the last two decades making... 

not that I could afford a PP, but if I could, I will wearing it most often. Any boxes will just be taking up space and yes, that is just a poor man's mentality.

Not only for watches, but for most other items I've purchased I tend to keep their full packaging as they have some sentimental value. For watches I definitely keep even the plastic protectors! For the record I'm not a flipper Problem is with the storage ... 

Every single purchase I make, be it a watch or a vacuum cleaner has been made which much thought and frequently with much love so all the boxes are kept, not only for warranty purposes but ease of transportation and I have this thing about keeping all ite...

I've done so since day one and continue to do so wherever possible. Not because I'm a speculator (I am not), but rather because I believe each element contributes positively to my buying and collecting experience. It's genetic predisposition I suppose 😐 ... 

The presentation case comes in a nice outer box which is brown. The outer cardboard box which gives the item number and just protects the brown box from rough shipping is really totally utter worthless to any consumer EXCEPT it might help hide the watch i...

We the collectors have made it more significant than that! If for decades we had received our nice new shiny Patek inside its mahogany box, none would be the wiser!!! I definately don't remember getting a "coffin" for ny first Rolex purchase in the 2990's... 

but there are people who keep moving their watches around from country to country so obviously any form of added protection would be helpful. I have just relocated to Malaysia from the UK and am transporting my Patek boxes one at a time in my hand luggage...

I can never argue with bubble wrap! For the record, the wooden box is wrapped in bubble wrap before being put into the shipment box.
