Parmigiani Fleurier Minute Rattrapante
Several weeks later than expected, I can now share this newly released timepiece by Parmigiani.
Initial thoughts after only 3 hours:
- the build quality & finishing are impeccable
- the feel on the wrist is silky smooth
- the dimensions are perfect
- the dial is a true chameleon, in an exciting way
- the pushers are wonderfully integrated, and the mechanism itself is sublime
We will discuss the complication more in the future. I find it incredibly innovative, and more useful to me than my conventional chronographs which can record up to 12 hours.
I have targeted a PF watch for several years now. I'm very pleased to have waited for this one.
I need to do a lot better for the movement. I have looked through a loupe and the finishing is very impressive.

Coincidence, I was just looking a several PF today and this one in particular.
Online, not in person. But this is a curious one, I need to see it in person. My online viewing was a follow up from listening to a recent podcast (Keeping Time) with Guido Terreni.

My dealer had 3 presold, mine being the first. Might be a while before he has one in stock, but surely they will get out in the coming months.
We are most often in agreement. This is great for true watch lovers.
I think PF will continue to gain steam. Still a good time to acquire.

I have some in-depth comparisons in mind with the 39mm Royal Oak, and at some point, a 3-way Battle Royale, to include the Chopard XPS.
This one is a clear step towards a goal of going more simple.
It has been on my mind for some time. The hidden complication here is a real cherry on top, sort of a two-for-one!

Well done to PF in prioritizing the replacement for you. I handled the GMT and the Skeleton during launch sometime ago and I am in total agreement with you on the quality, finishing, workmanship and wearability. Enjoy your new PF!
Indeed. PF worked with the dealer to prioritize the replacement.
The steel skeleton was very high on my list, and I really considered it. But this model won my heart. As the months dragged on, it was very tempting to get the skeleton, but I am very happy to have held out.
I think they have been trending up for a few years now.
And still gaining steam, IMO.

The wrist comfort is awesome. I can already say, strictly from a comfort standpoint -
Better than any Royal Oak bracelet I have ever worn. Not they they are not comfortable - I love them. But this one adds a silky smooth feeling I am otherwise not familiar with.
It fits so wonderfully. Classy, elegant, but still robust.
And the hidden complication. All Star timepiece here by PF.

I won't say I was concerned, but hopeful / expecting they were in perfect alignment. I really cannot see the hand underneath unless I view the watch completely from the side, or choose to advance it, of course. Great design decision to coordinate the rose...

i have not seen this model in the metal yet, but i have the base and gmt versions and so, can understand your choice 👍
The GMT is of course similar in theory
I am more drawn to this "countdown timer" and dial color, and truthfully, have never used GMTs. Both beautiful though. I know one thing for sure, this will not be my last Parmigiani.
