Chopard: Die is the problem.

I love this watch too much. It is not a rational choice (which watch actually is rational). I can not get it out of my mind when I close my eyes at night. Especially the warm golden glow of the movement with the cool nickel layer on top of the bright golden brass. If you only ha a chance to see it i

Chopard: I need a sponsor.

Thanks for your prompt response. I think my collection of other watches qualifies me for membership status at WCA ( watch collectors anonymous ) My next step is to find a sponsor. There probably aren't many here. Mike

Chopard: L.U.C. Louis-Ulysse, The Tribute

I recently purchased my wife a Chopard La Vie en Rose Happy Diamonds watch. Unfortunately, I went back to the boutique and tried on the Tribute watch. I was more than impressed. The dial, case and movement are sublime. The finishing on the movement is very reminiscent of one hundred year old Vachero

Patek Philippe: Perception Adjustment

Nice Collection. It is interesting how we get "used" to the prices. The first Patek I encountered was a 5035 in a magazine in 1997. The price of $18,000 USD was ABSURD! Today, this would a bargain for a Patek complication light. When we consider the price of a simple Patek watch as the same as the p

Patek Philippe: A Friend

I am glad to see you here in cyberspace. I am sad to see you leave Patek. I hope you find a pleasant landing. I have a copy of your book and have read it many times; I would eagerly recommend it to anyone. If you ever find yourself stranded in the mid-northern tier of the USA you know you have a fri
