Horological Meandering

I think it is very interesting, for many reasons...

 

Firstly because, whatever it looks like, we never know what it can lead to.


I understand the 90% room availability may be less interesting than seeing wheels moving but we should look at this for a more complicated watch for instance: we will be able to have complicated pieces that don't have the size of a suitcase! So we'll still have many wheels and things to look at but in a smaller case.

Furthermore, it is a way of having the positive sides of an automatic movement and a manual one: no need to wind it everyday or being able to leave it in a drawer for a while and getting it back running. This without a winding weight.

And I imagine that it will be positive for the accuracy and time keeping as we know that near the end the accuracy is poor on a standard movement.
