After much conflicted deliberations of desire and guilt, I have finally purchased my first FPJ - a Zodiaque! (my apologies for the poor image, I need some of those fluorescent lamps!)

Anyway I am now awaiting delivery of the original box, instruction manual and guarantee card from the authorised dealer. Can other Zodiaque owners out there let me know what to expect? Will the box be different from other FPJ watch boxes? After all, this is one limited edition piece.

Also my personal favorite. Sounds like you have purchased one of the very last Zodiaques, certainly likely to become a collector's item. Much congratulations!

...but not too good, difficult to handle my old "dinosaur" with one hand

I was torn between this watch and a Chronometre a Resonance (38mm dial). Tough choice to make. To be honest, I liked the Resonance better functionally i.e. 2 time zones controlled by a crown, seconds reset etc-etc. However, the size of the dial is a bit small for my preference, and the crown at 12 o'clock is difficult to handle.

You have one of the Journe limted edition without any regular version.

are different from the usual FPJ watches.

Usually, the box is different in fancy wood but not the case for the Zodiaque.

The certificate is different; normally it is a plastic credit card with hologram but Zodiaque has a FPJ real 'headed paper' certificate and signature.

There is no FPJ loupe as per usual Ltd Edn practice nor is the dial in ruthenium finish for platinum-case Ltd Edns.

hmmm....with all these exceptions, how will we spot the Ltd Edns in future

Is the different feel it has when you wind it manually...it has just the right "give" and then a slight "rebound". I don't get that same feel with the other Octas. Maybe its the different arrangement of the hands...whatever, its great.
