I was wrong
I always appreciated the look (and the unbeatable history!) of the Santos Dumont. And I'm a fan of taking dressy watches and dressing them down, but I thought there was a limit: I thought that a very small, very thin, yellow gold, ornate-case, printed Roman numerals dial watch like this one would really only be happy staying dressy.
I was wrong.
I was oh so very wrong!
This watch doesn't care how casually you wear it! It only cares whether you're confident enough to wear it. And I guess I am!
In other words: new acquisition.

The 'Collection Privee' Santos Dumont, in gold or platinum, is a super-classic. A watch that we should each have, if we can find one.
