Hublot Big Bang-Ice Bang
By: this_hobby_of_hours : June 12th, 2024-10:32
Been a while since I have put on this one. The virtually indestructible Hublot Ice Bang.
Tungsten bezel, ceramic case and rubber strap. 44 mm case diameter and comfortable.
About 15 years old now and going strong. Precise and tough.

Looks good on your bro.
Agree, too much group think (and uninformed cancel culture) going on in the watch community.
Iβve always liked my Ice bang.
And Biver too. Humble too. Hurricane if a man but humble and kind.

Tungsten, interesting. How does that compare to titanium or ceramic with regard to positive features?

Tungsten carbide is extremely difficult to machine because of nuts hardness.
I could whack this on the wall and the wall will shatter into thousands of pieces. π

Back when I used to hand draft my architecturals
By: MichaelC : June 12th, 2024-15:08
I had an Ice Bang. One of Hublot's very best creations, ever.
And with the much rarer All Black. I liked the Ice more.

I agree π―
The ice bang is such a balanced and good looking watch. Material-wise as well.
The all black whole rarer is not really legible. I have the opportunity to choose either at the time and I went with the Ice Bang.
Nice pics too.

Iβve always liked this pic from the internet

My pleasure. I had my Ice Bang for a while
By: MichaelC : June 12th, 2024-16:10
It really was a splendid watch. The All Black had a certain "cool" factor, but I agree, not the most legible piece. The AB watch in my photo belonged to a colleague. I think he was jealous of my Ice to be honest!
