The real Jean Claude Killy

I recently read a very interesting post on Rene's blog. Rene is a famous vintage breitling collector and dealer.

He has recently stumbled across a picture of Jean Claude Killy celebrating his 1968 Olympics win.

He started to investigate which watch he was wearing and found that it is a Breitling ref 765 CP.

This is a very interesting find, because we all know that Killy has always been close to Rolex, but it's funny to realize he was actually wearing a Breitling while he was winning all his medals !!!

I always assumed it was the Italians that created the connection back in the 70's hyping a a steve mcqueen move release. The Rolex connection seemed stretched but was some how tied in.

Now I'm sure that all the Rolex geeks are looking for JCK wearing a triple date Rolex chrono, which I have never seen to be honest.
