Here's my latest catch...A 1675 Gilt, chapter ring, and ...Brown dial.

In fact, I was hunting a 6542, and the few I saw in the flesh had a problem.

I saw many others in pics, but when 100 % correct, they are unaffordable.

So, I decided to focuse my hunt on a 1675 Gilt.

While I was thinking I will find a traditional, but beautiful deep black laquered dial, I fell on this watch:





This is also my first Rolex Brown dial...

Luck was on my side, this time!

The nice brown patina on the dial is perfect together with the faded bezel and actually nice fit with the thick brown strap.

The watch will be a true treasure in every collection.

Truely an magnificent catch. Again, you are impossible to keep track with

I especially like your choice of strap!  That dial is killer!  These old Rolexes are extremely compelling, but a lot of them are NOT cheap to collect!

Even these glossy dial are not that expensive, but it is true that generally, when it turns to brown, it turns to nightmare, as well.

....to look good! So there are only few brown dial watches in market

But this vinatge rolex's aging bezel, red GMT hand and calf strap did a good job to match up! nice watch!

Brown dials are easily findable...

In good condition, that's really another thing.

As on the Vintage in general ,I'm the kind of guy to look for a watch in good condition, rather than in poor condition, which makes this kind of watch rarer to find, but which gives you more pleasure, much more pleasure.

For myself, I love to watch and play with other people watch, since I get enough time, but money. LOL
