Hi all, i'm considering the my next purchase and the bi-metal (steel, yellow-gold) submariner with
the blue dial, bezel caught my eye. Pics and opinions would be appreciated.
Many thanks
My roomie says buy ss or gold, but not both on one watch. With SS, you'll get next to nothing if you need money real quick (and are stuck in China or Timbuktu), but at least you'll have a nice watch in 904L steel. With gold, ah-ha, oooh la la, no problemo, just gut out the movement, weigh the gold, and voila, cash for gold at market value (or close to it, or whatever you haggle for). Gutting out the movement is true for all watches except perhaps Patek (PP), especially if there's any gold in the movement (true for any watch with gold in the movement). Anyone who's had ss & gold have been disappointed. Whatever. Enjoy! =:^D
P.S.: I think all 'gutted out' movements wind up over at Otto Frei's, don't know for sure.... : )
