Hi everybody,
I'm going to acquire a RED SUB 1680 and I need your advices. Could you please tell me what you think about this one:
The seller told me:
- It's an original 1680 Red Rolex Submariner on fliplock band
- Everything (dial, hands, case, caseback, band, crown...) is original
- Serial Number 3,2 millions / MK3 Dial (opened 6)
- The band is a 93150 with 580 end pieces.
The quality of the pictures is the best I can have from the seller.
Thanks a lot for your help !
If this is from an AD, still have them open the back and check it out, then have them do the pressure test for a Rolex diver's watch (it's the same contraption for any diver's watch, btw, Omega, Doxa, etc.). If it's by private party, go to a Rolex AD, etc. If it's over the internet, don't send them a check or wire them money, go with credit card, but that's taking a big chance unless you're familiar with the seller and have done business with them before. Caveat emptor!
Looks nice, just hope it's not a Chinese ETA-brass "movement" inside.
=:^D
Thanks for your feedbacks! I did not hold the watch, but the seller seems to have strong reputation (according to others Rolex users).
But I agree that the pictures have a too low quality to buy such a watch serenely. I think I'm going to get another one...
Thanks again ;-)
