Rolex

Years ago I owned the Rolex Explorer 214270, 39mm. I absolutely​​ loved it but decided to sell it to purchase the smaller 14270, 36mm. Over these years I have watched the market rise on these models and never pulled the trigger as I had other "bigger" pieces come into my collection. I'm happy to say that I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a 14270 "Swiss" only. To me, the Rolex Explorer, no matter what the reference is such a versatile, timeless piece.

And very overlooked

... but the 14270, 114270, and their predecessors have such beautiful and elegant proportions.

Much agreed. I find the 14270/114270 size to be better proportioned than the 214270. Perfect fit on my 6.75 inch

I don't think many collectors agree but it really does suit most people and smaller pieces have such a classic look to them. Do you have both the 14270 and 114270?

I wanted both reference models... but not so common ones. So I bought the 14270 SWISS ONLY dial and the 114270 ENGRAVED REHAUT dial. Love them both.... I
