What is the big difference between a Rolex and a Tudor? Is it strictly a matter of the movement that is used? I would really appreciate some insight. I have always liked the Tudor range, and have been hearing for years that they are fine watches and very good value.
One is a watch for the enthusiast with knowledge, the other is too often a status symbol

Evidenced by the fact that I conciser myself to have a fairly reasonable collection of watches with many different features and complications but more and more these days when I go to put a watch on these BB’s just keep getting picked. I wouldn’t mind if it was a recent thing but this has been going on for years now. 🙈🙈😎.

What convinced me
The haptic quality, the power reserve of 70 hrs, everything is exact, the style and what I had to pay. And no wait.
I love Tudor, but the quality of finishing; dials, cases and bracelets is a big difference. [nt]

Bracelets, probably, yes, dials and cases, not sure... At least Tudor gives some nice bevels to their lugs. Rolex gave up with that. [nt]

Wholeheartedly agree.
There’s a lot to like about the 58, but for me the big big win is the size of the case.
The Blue is also perhaps more easily worn, as it doesn’t have the strong vintage vibe of the initial 58.
How Rolex was before the madness. I know it is its signature but the snowflake hour hand is what's keeping me from getting into it. But I keep an open mind. If and when, probably the black dial version. Great piece! (Nt)
