Can bronze watch be polished to remove a scratch?
I already made a few small scratch on my beloved Tudor BB bronze and luckily for me the small one tend to disappear after a while due to the bronze patina masking them. However recently I made a larger scratch that does not seem to be going away anytime soon with patina and I wonder if anything can be done on a bronze case to remove such scratch? Do I need to have the whole case polish which mean I will lose the patina? If so, would the patina come back with time on the freshly polished case? What are my options?
My AD did not seem to think we could do anything but we did not check with Tudor directly either...thanks for any insights.
Try harder. :-) If you have the watch refinished, you will - 100% sure - scratch it again. Bronze (& titanium), however, will re-patinate ... given time. [nt]

I do not think that the scratch will be covered by patina.
Yes, you would need to polish the whole watch, unless you leave that polished bit and let it "catch up" with the remaining patina.
If you polish all, it will create a patina from the start again.

Use a Cape Cod polish cloth to remove the scratch as good as possible, it will certainly look better. And yes the patina will return. [nt]

Keep in mind a cape cod cloth will change the finish of the case...
It will remove or reduce the brushing. Cape Cod cloths are meant for polished surfaces only.
True, thought since I am ready to have the finish changed through a factory polishing, maybe the Cape Cod cloth would be less extreme of a change ?!? [nt]

I found some on amazon thank you. I will wait till Monday though as my AD is contacting Tudor and I would likely elect to send the watch to Tudor for a light polishing versus doing it myself [nt]

You could try this...
I have been able to remove a few irritating scratches from the underside of a buckle with brushed finish. It is sort of like a Brillo pad...but not metal. With light, even strokes you can drastically reduce the appearance of the scratch.
