An expensive toy tending to go against what "a purist in me" would dismiss normally, but back then a DNA of a boy, full of jest, roared over a reason, hence the result. It's gorgeous, nevertheless..
I feel even more extremely fortunate than I thought (at the time) I had the opportunity to buy this WG YM about a year ago from an AD... chose ultimately the DS Cameron, the colors just killed me lol... but I LOOOOVE this YM. Congrats and enjoy!!!!
Yes, and more than when I bought it about 1 yr ago... I often think it a choice between the AP 15202 st and the Cameron--for modern favorites... they are far apart in value, so it is noteworthy that I love the Cameron equally to often 'more' than the AP... ( what does that mean? moods change...these two are my current faves for modern brilliant steel sport watches) The Cameron is SO unique, and if you get the most current model, the bracelet's fine-tuning will create amazing levels of comfort and elegance in tune with the beefiness of the case... I find it to be so comfortable and balanced... it never strikes me as out of balance even though it is such a substantial watch... thick, but not imbalanced (anymore)... it's such a one of a kind Rolex! Yes, I do love it more than when I got it, Nico. The color dimension of the dial is so unusual and thrilling. It is such a special, steel sport Rolex!
Yachtmasters was always my thing, I was wearing my 116622 last couple of months and didn't feel like taking it off. I bought it "hungover" in 2009 during Oktoberfest, next to Hofbrauhaus in Munich. Never looked back, just grew on me...lol
I'd probably buy another Lange today with the funds back then...but I guess there's "a horological trajectory" in our collecting span. All great and exciting! [nt]
Visit AD’s, grey market traders, watch collectors. When i start my journey in 2018 - April, i met the world. I saw the yachtmaster this year in the shop of a grey market trader. The famous models on stock. It is a gamble, and trust is a delicate thing. They got several Hulks, and a 116610LV used they ask around €13000. I think it is better to be on a waiting list of an AD with a good name be an excellent Rolex AD.
At this time i am looking for a certain Longines. Not an expensive watch, it have interesting technology onboard. Just perfect as a useful always on the wrist watch. When cut wood for the campfire, and i hit a block, no pain if a scratch occur on the case.
I totally get it. The part about the boy in you gleefully taking over your “purist” judgment as our tastes do evolve. I am looking at a YG Submariner right now. Why? Same reason as yours! Congrats and enjoy. [nt]
