Rolex Daytona Ceramic. Black or White dial?
The only way to make your mind is to see these 2 new Daytonas in the flesh OR to have a side by side picture.
I went for the second solution as I didn't have the opportunity to live the first, yet.
Bot are tempting, I must say. I would have a slight preference for the white dialed version, because it is very close to the former Daytona " Zenith " with these subdials circled in black.
And I am a big fan of the Zenith, so I am a bit biased, here.
But in both cases, you cannot go wrong. The ceramic bezel adds a nice retro touch to the Daytona and makes you think of the vintage references.
Not bad, not bad...
Which one do you prefer?

I got a short while ago
the white version and will open the parcel when coming back home.
I chose the white one because it reminds about the past models.

Hi Nico, one thing, that I haven't really seen anybody discuss.....
Is the way the numbering on the bezel is arranged.
With the Zenith, and all the older daytonas, the tachymeter numbers all faced the same direction. Now, I guess ever since the bezel became ceramic, the numbers have been rotated around the bezel. I find it very hard to describe, but I am sure that you know what I mean!!
I much prefer the older way of displaying the numerals, and every time I see the new daytonas with ceramic bezels, it just bugs the hell out of me!!!
Maybe it is just me!!
Because of this, I think I would go for the black dial - even though I love the old Zenith 16520s, I don't feel the comparison between the two, as I can't stop looking at the tachy numbering alignment!!

I understand, and you are right. We had inverted 6 on the old " Zenith ", now, we face the same phenomenon on the ceramic insert. Funny. Or disturbing. ;) [nt]

The black one looks cool too. I've seen the pair next to each other on a watch fair, but they were dummies. And they didn't impress me actually. But I'm not sure if they had the real deal feel being dummies (if you get my drift).
I'm in the list for a white one, but hopefully by the time it arrives my AD will have both to show and I can choose. Or just leave it ;-)

If I pretend past refereneces don't exist
and think completely objectively about what will bring me more pleasure on the wrist then black dial. However, my plan is to buy whichever one my AD provides sells me first. I asked for both and am happy to be patient.
