... We have several experts in Tudor Chronos vintage here, like Jeff/Dr. Strong and Bill, and may be they can help with my question. I have read the magnificent article of your link, but it refers to reference 7159 showing his awesome example with the steel bezel.
I was offered a 7149/0 with steel bezel and I wish to know if that is correct, or if 7149/0 came with bakelite bezel only.

Normally 7149 is Bakelite.
Homeplate - Gray or black dial
7031 black bakelite
7032 steel
Tudor Montecarlo series
The dial is the same (inner circle slight change gray / black) only the model number changes which is the bezel change.
7149 normally bakelite
7159 has steel
7169 had insert style bezel black and blue
7031 black bakelite

Just check the model number.
They may just be mistaken thinking it is 7149 when really 7159. This would explain the steel bezel.
