Which Panerai Mare Nostrum you like better - the original PAM300 or PAM603?

Which one of these 52mm monsters you like better? 


Personally I think the original PAM300 is better looking.  This new PAM603 Mare Nostrum seems a bit too plain and boring design-wise.

If I am not wrong, the 603 has a big advantage, the titanium case.

Which is much lighter than the steel Pam 300.

Though, 52 mm is a big problem.

As for the dial, I love both of them. Yhe Minerva movement is the cherry on the cake.

Again, the size... If only Panerai released it in a wearable ( 45 / 47 mm ) size!

And I think this new smaller case will be the "new" case they will introduce.

For me though if this were to happen, I'd still be disappointed and would want Panerai to introduce a totally brand new case to help fight the apathy I'm starting to feel for the brand.

5218-301/A was the first in the Pre Vendome Era, then the Pre V Slytech 302

Graduated bezel, or 304, Smooth bezel.

Of course, the first Mare is from 1943 ( if my memory serves me well ) and existed only as a proto, housing an Angélus movement.  The case was 52 mm big, and the PAM 300 is a trustful re edition.

Then, in 1997, you had the PAM 6, 7, and 8 Mare, with the Blue, White and Black dials.

The Pre V Mare and the PAM 6, 7 and 8 had a 42 mm case.

i do prefer smooth bezel vs. graduated bezel, but I prefer 42mm Haha, or maybe 45/47...not 52!

love the 300, love the blue hands but in steel it's too heavy.

I have a 341 which i don't find heavy, met some guy at a party wearing a fake one, which was a little embarrassing for him, what followed was a hole load of justification why it was as good as the real one. I tried his on and in steel it was unwearable. 

I came really close to buying a 300 9 months ago, but in the end i knew i'd never actually wear it, for m the 603 is perfect case wise. 

Saying that i'd prefer the blue hands and see through caseback
