Greetings to the community,
Got interested in 590 around January, and still growing on me after a week on the wrist.
I thought to share my thoughts on this watch.
The dial, being the source of stir for this watch, has an oval/elliptic look to it. This is due to the distance between the 8 days logo and the small seconds being less than the distance between 12 & 6.
Which I think creates a nice contrast with the circular bezel area and also with the relatively rectangular case.
For obvious reasons, the historic 8 days logo of course might have been more suitable choice for a 1950 case, however I think most will agree that it fits an 8-day reserve watch much more than printing 8 DAYS on to the dial.
Besides, 44mm Luminor is about right for the most.
On the wrist, is just a handsome looking watch here to look at.
Overall I think the 590 is a well-executed piece in the 8 days collection.
Thanks for looking.

An eye candy from the press file:

Yes, the Pam 590 is not a 1950 47 mm case, but if it would have been, a lot of guys would have said that it is too close to the Pam 203 which is not necessarily true, due to the use of the Angélus 8 Days movement in the 203.
I think it is a fair offer for those who cannot wear the 47 mm cases.
There are also the 561 and 562, unveiled this year...
Best, and thanks for this post!
Nicolas

Thanks Bro. I will post the pictures of My 590 soon in this topic.
Congratulations.
I too am lucky enought to have a 590 and like it a lot. It was nice to know it was going to be limited to NA but my AD just called to let me know it would be offered world wide for 2015. I would be interested to hear what the thoughts on this are?
