Refreshing a one year old Pam....
with new shoes of course. 
As this is normal behaviour for Pam owners I decided to give it a try and do it myself#
I made sure I had all the right tools and took extra precautions but didn't use tape after removing the first screw as I felt confident# It's has been quite a while since I did this and was quite surprised at how easy the screws came off#
Here's a step by step pictorial:
the super soft nubuck strap
to replace the OEM blk croc#
the tools : my kid's play-doh was the secret weapon
it held the watch firmly in place
1st# one in - no problem
2nd# one - the same
Smooth operation - job done -
a pat on the back- no scratches
What a complete change a strap makes!

As for straps, I have collected a few but not anywhere near your level. They can be addictive I know
