Is there a SS version of the 273, 235 or 395?
Hi all!
Hope you can help, I'm contemplating a GMT purchase. I've looked at a Rolex GMT and Explorer and thought, nah. Given up on Breitlings. Not really interested in anything else than a Pam this time around.
I'm not a precious metal guy, I prefer my watches in SS. Which is good, as it means I can spend on other pursuits as well as watches!!
So back to GMT's, and I am looking specifically for a 45mm Rad. To explain, I already have a 312, and like the time/seconds/date format, so I'm not after a 321.
I'm not really that into the Bettarini case with modded ETA, so 237, 088 & 297 are out of the competition.
Which means I've been having a look for the model I would like, and it seems that it's only available as a Specialty on precious metal.
Say it's not so!!!
Have you considered the 323?
IMO, a much a better dial (due to the absence of the hated fangs) than the other models you're considering..

You're looking for the PAM268 in stainless steel
Sergio makes a good suggestion w/ the PAM323 but it's a 47mm Radiomir instead of a 45mm. So if you're comfortable wearing a slightly larger Rad, then the PAM323 is another good option.

Otherwise, the PAM268 is the watch you're looking for. 45mm Radiomir w/ the same P.2002 movement found in the PAM235.

Truth be told, the 323 is perfect with the one exception that I'd like a 45mm version. Argh!
And I need an auto as I always forget to wind my manuals, so I am down to 2 of those now.
So I have a 6 and 3/4" wrist, how big does the 323 actually wear? Anyone got some wristies in this size range?

Alex, here's a video of the 47mm PAM323 on my 6.75" wrist
This should give you a relatively good on-the-wrist look since we have the same wrist size.

You already have a 1950 case, otherwise I would have suggested a 233 and agree the 321 is too similar to your 312.
As you may know the slimmer profiles of the radiomir lend nicely to wearability especially with long sleeve shirts. I have 6.75" wrists as well and the 323 would be an awesome compliment.
I think panerai's execution of a 12 hour GMT while still preserving the 24 hour information on a small simple sub dial is the way to go if you like simple dials. I have 233 k so you know which of the two implentations that I prefer!

Darron, I do love your choice, but I also love my plain ol' 312. It's the closest thing I could get to a base in an auto at the time and I've become very fond of it!!!!
Anthony, dunno man. I'm still thinking it's a bit too big for me. I kinda wanted to limit myself to 44mm, so 45 is already on the outer of that self imposed limit!
Here's my muse: I think once they're done with the 45mm special eds in precious metal, then they will make me my 45mm in SS!
I shouldn't have too long to wait, they've done yellow, white and rose gold already, so my prediction is 2013 will see another precious metal (platinum), an SS special ed or the introduction of a SS production model.....
Bring it on!
