Officine Panerai

It's a good trade as long as you feel it's a good trade!

Doing trades are very subjective, so a good trade to one person may be a bad trade to another.

As long as you are very happy with your new Omega, then it's a good trade smile

Cheers,
Anthony

Agree totally with Anthony...

Just go with what your heart tell you. Others can only give advice and their views are subjective. Ultimately, you will still have to make the final call since you are the one wearing the watchsmile

If I had bought it at all......

one never knows what happens while completely sloshed, I would trade (in a nanosecond) it for a used candy wrapper...smile

No message body

You've obviously misunderstood....

I (not him) would have to be drunk to buy a 48. There, better now? smile BTW, why are you getting involved in this?

Ciao - Sergio

Ok, I guess that was misunderstood.

But still the candy wrapper comment is a bit odd and guess you don't  worry about others feelings when you don't happen to hold the same opinion.  Regarding the other comment, I was reading this thread and it's a public forum, not a private conversation.

Paul

The subject is: would you trade the 048....etc

 By: sergio : January 22nd, 2012-09:55

not how I deal with the subject nor how I should answer to the originator of the thread....

Ciao - Sergio

My two cents for this...

I have both a PAM 111 and a Planet Ocean 2201.50.00 42mm.

I got the Panerai first, and the Planet Ocean latter on and I love them both.

I wouldn't give up either one for the other, they are just diferent watches with it's own charisma.

First the Panerai to me is already a classic watch, with all it's roots and DNA from the days at the Marina Militare,

then the Planet Ocean is a nice modern sport watch that also looks good dresed up, with the hints it took fron the legendary Seamaster 300m,

one day it will be a classic too.

I don't thing about how old they are, or how much they cost, I think about how much happy I'm with them.

I enjoy switching from one to another, and I hope never have to depart from them, nobody knows.

Thinking about children, I would put it this way: If I had a calm, serene and thoughtful son, I would give him the Panerai.

On the other side, if I had a playful, outgoing, adventurous son, I would give him the Planet Ocean.

Oh! And I would love both of my sons!!!

Best Regards.

René

Oh! and regarding the straps

 By: renerod : January 22nd, 2012-20:07

One of the pleasures with Panerai watches,

to many, but not to all, is personalizing them with a wide variety of straps,

that's part of the enjoyment.

My best regards to you guys,

and don't let this matters to displease you.

In the end, watches are for joy.

We all can have different points of view.

To each it's own.
