Officine Panerai

Has anyone actually purchased/received one of the new 42mm Panerai 00337 Radiomir in steel?  I have had one on order with my local AD now for nearly a year, and actually saw one at a Panerai event last Christmas, but no watch, and no word since then.  The AD's position is that when it arrives, it arrives, and Panerai is telling him nothing.  He did receive a copy of this watch in gold this past spring (his allotment is apparently one of these each in gold, titanium, and steel).  On the good side, if Panerai is having problems with the movement, I'd rather they work things out before they start shipping the watch to customers, but a year wait is ridiculous.  Any thoughts or other information?

I visited the boutique in NYC a few weeks ago and they had a gold one. The not very helpful guy there told me most of the 337/338's were going to SEA as they had huge demand (meaning more margin) for these watches. At that point there was not one single 337 in USA and he didn't know when the next one would arrive.

I paid a deposit in february 2010 for a PAM 338 and heard nothing from my AD.
I got tired of waiting and my AD could not give me information of when the watch would be delivered so they gave me back my deposit. They have kept me on the waiting list so if/when they hear anything they will give me a call and if I am still interested I will have a chance to purchase.

A real pity as I was looking forward for my first Panerai! We will se what happens. But it is strange that no watches appear...

I read a review recently that was complementary in all respects except one of the most important IMO - accuracy. Anyone else read about it running as much as +18 seconds/24 hrs? Otheriwse, I find the watch very appealing.  

That one particular, individual watch needed regulating. An easy job to do.

I thought about that but wonder why Panerai wouldn't put the watch on the machine before sending it for testing? Anyway, I can't imagine them making a time only movement so fast. I am sure you are right. Thank you,

Who knows what the provenance of that piece is in the review.  Was it dropped on the floor before?  Was it magnetized and owner didn't know?  Was watch accidently banged up before he acquired the watch?  Did problem with movement occur while watch was in transit from Panerai to AD?  etc.

Thanks to all who responded.  After speaking with a guy at the LA Panerai Boutique, he said that they have not seen any 337's, and has no clue as to when, or if they will.  Rather than wait forever, I'm now leaning toward a PAM 00287 or 00380, both of which are ETA/Valjoux 7750-based movements, but are COSC certified (it seems that the 337 movt as well as most, if not all, of Panerai's in-house movements are not, if that actually matters), and are readily available.
