i know panerai hear us on here one way or another i LOVE the 341 but at 60mm case size... no way it would be suitable to fit a normal human wrist... unless injected with some strange thingy which blows a human up to HULK's size... but then such a hormone doesn't exist.
I know its a reproduction for an older watch... but time changes... people as well, and guess at current days we don't need a 341 to be as chunky as it is " as long as we have no intention to use a watch as a weapon " . so from a personal point of view i would suggest a smaller case in the range of 45-50mm MAX .
that was my opinion how about your Fellas?!
Faisal
A very good idea, I would definitly go for it. Smaller would also mean cheaper right?
Best Regards,
George
but wearable size is my main concern mate.
Best .
Faisal
money shouldn't be a consideration. Though sometimes it does get in the way of some of my watch projects.
As Nicolas says at 47mm I'm in, that is supposing they announce the production of such a model and then don't decide days before deliveries are intended to begin to withdraw it.
George
Hope OP will do it.
Cheers,
patrickh
but do they at OP know.... thats an important question
?!!
Faisal
I hope JF doesn't mind but he was standing next to me at the moment i was talking above
PICS ARE JUST FOR EDUCATIONAL USE
here's JF pic :
and here's one next to the real (fake) 341 just tot show the difference in size
For the illustration you've given to us, seeing that size and imagining all the true essence of OP on it cause me a watering mouth feeling. now the ones behind the fake one can jump around for once in life they somehow did a good thing " giving a live example of how it will look in a smaller size" but im dead sure they never intended to do good :P .
Faisal
I think the two watches like a 341 together were both in a 47mm diameter or so
To be honest, I always wanted to see a Big Egy in a more standard diameter .... since we were on Canal Street I think the 60mm fit better this case's design
Hello to all of course,

square, uncompromising chap. I believe certain things should remain...as is. Everybody is familiar with the saying: you can make a lot of people happy, sometimes. You can make fewer people happy, most of the time. You cannot make everybody happy, all the time. The Egiziano was created for a purpose and IMO shouldn't be "messed around with". Want something affordable and decently sized and reminiscent of the Egiziano rounded shape? About a nice 24A...

But if I were Panerai, I wouldn't make a smaller PAM341 until after most of the PAM341's are out of the retail channel and into collector hands. That way, sales of the large PAM341 will be jeapordized as a result of the smaller PAM341 release. Because if current buyers of the large PAM341 found out there will be a smaller PAM341 coming out, I can guarantee that a lot of these larger PAM341 buyers will jump ship and cancel their order for the large PAM341 and switch to the smaller PAM341.

i wouldnt even expect it to be anyother way.
Best Anthony .

they put the Mare Nostrum on steroyds (PAM 300 is 50mm) and I'm sure a lot of people will love it (I've never been a M.N. guy myself, but I see the logic in it) because of that. For some reasons a shrunken Egiziano doesn't want to "wedge" itself inside my mind. If Panerai will indeed consider...cashing out...on the Egiziano and make a smaller case for it, I'll have the chance to...get used to it, maybe....

Because as what i believe to be the 1st and probably only Asian as of now to own a Egiziano and actually post shots of it here on the Purists, I totally back up Patrick here, and not just with words, but with actions!
I will be wearing my Egiziano during Christmas, and even to the new year's countdown with my fiancee, and she knows well about it, so does my parents and virtually my entire family, and boy am i proud to wear it!
It is not big at all mon ami, but if your personality as my brother here puts it to be is huge, or if you live for yourself, and not for the opinions of others, why does the size matter? 47mm, 52mm, 60mm, 77mm, it does not matter!
The watch is amazing, and i highly recommend you and all here to try it!
If you cannor pull it, then well i'm sorry!
Cheers
Stephen
I don't care about what others think, and if I did care, I wouldn't have the collection I have right now.
But I tried the Egiziano many times, and I can tell you that it is definitely not for may wrist, as well as the Mare, sadly.
On my wrist, such a watch is ridiculously too big, my friend.
But I can wait till the day they will make it " smaller ".
Best, and Enjoy.
Nicolas
It is a pity, but i hope that maybe one day OP will release the Egiziano, and the Mare, and also the Baby Egiziano ( of which I am very interested in, and I know that you do too!) for you then!
Best and have a great weekend!
Stephen
And indeed i love the way you put it to the max!
Thank you for this very powerful post!
Stephen
