Officine Panerai

I know I'm well in the minority on this...but having worn the 312 for awhile now, I have to say I just dont like the way it wears !
It is not as comfortable feeling on my wrist as my 111 and I keep hitting it...banging it into things.
It is a beautiful looking watch and has some nice features that draw me to it ...3 day auto , exhibition back, no cyclops, brushed case polished bezel.
But I'm not getting used to the slightly thicker casing like I thought I hoped I would.
Just me I guess ... from the posts I've read 9 out of 10 others love it...I don't !
I have a friend who I think wants to take it ...if he does I'll get a 104...side by side the 312 is a better looking watch ....on the wrist the 104 feels more practical.

Its way personal, I have to admit...but I have several Luminor (88, 26 and 000) and also a 233...and I even would say the opposite. I feel 1950 cases are more "ergonomic" tha  Luminor cases.

I use to wear the watches prety tighten...so they dont move at all on the wrist. Maybe that could be useful to you as apart from the thickness also the weight matters.

Anyways..its too personal, again. Nothing wrong if you dont like it...!

I have been in HK for a week wearing my PAM312 on a rubber strap. It is way heavier than my other watches but yet it felt comfortable. I think the large strap is the key. My wrist is not big so a big strap is essential. No problem from here. I do take it off sometimes when I do a lot of work on the computer. it can be a bit heavy.

it is personal. go for another one. keep both.

FYI I went to all three panerai boutiques. very nice. one even offered 5% discount on some models. I saw a 111 but now I have the 312, I don't see a point. It is beautiful of course. too similar for me to own another one.

in Hong Kong:

One in Prince building, Central, the second one in TST.   There might be other that 'looks' like a panerai boutique but I believe they're just 'boutique' within a bigger stores, operated by authorized dealers.  I presume you're referring to this one in Causeway Bay?

you're right, only 2 official Panerai Boutiques in Hong Kong.

the third one looks just like the others.  i think u r right.  their business cards are non panerai ones. 

My 104 has been very comfortable for everyday wear. I do agree that 312 is a better looking watch but the standard Luminor really does look tougher.

But on your problem, have you ever tried any aftermarket strap? I felt more comfortable wearing aftermarket strap on all of my PAMs.
