BUT!!! being new to the Panerai world (waiting for the delivery of a Pam 338) it is nice to see that you are contemplating buying a Panerai.
In spite of owning such exotic watches as Patek, Journe and Lange.
Makes me think maybe my urge to own a Radiomir isn´t that strange after all!
Being a JLC owner I allways thought that the logical next step for me would be to complement it with an even higher pedigree watch like the ones you mentioned. All of them making some really fantastic dreamwatches.
But seems Panerais are attractive even to enthusiasts accustomed to more expensive brands! Which is nice
Good luck finding your Panerai!
Best
Rob.
And hope to see the Fiddy back on your soon!
Cheers
Stephen
And btw, I personally don't consider the PAM40B to be "legendary" at all so I wouldn't place it anywhere near the top of the list of Panerai's best of the best in terms of popularity for Panerai fans in general.
Cheers,
Anthony
I guess my 1st question is did you get rid of all your panerai just so that you can be a bit more focused in your collection?
What did you like/not like about your previous Panerai collection?
Was the 47mm case size on the 305 a good size on your wrist? Was the heft of 172 a bit too much for you?
While I would be leaning toward the 127 personally but I would argue that PAM40 seem to offer 'something' you didn't have before: the T dial and the lighter weight of the 44mm titanium casing?
And finally, what's wrong w/ getting both?
