Panerai 2010 Novelties
From the Historic Collection
Three Radiomirs 42mm in stainless steel (pam337), titanium(pam338) and rose gold(pam336), from left to right.
All of them use Panerai's in-house P.999 movement, introduced this year, with 60 hours power reserve. What's interesting is that the rose gold version will use a variation of P.999 with Swan neck regulator, while the steel and titanium do not have it.
Comparison of the 42mm Radiomir case with a 45mm Radiomir Pam183. It is also thinner.
.
This is Panerai's serious effort to make a dress watch, I think they did a great job. The proportionate shrinkage of the 45mm Radiomir case is quite more elegant and the P.999 movement is beautiful.
The titanium is my favorite, the brushed finish gives it a very dull, almost brushed silver like feel. The size is perfect for a contemporary-style dress watch.
Radimior 45mm 8 days in Titanium (Pam346), featuring P2002/9 movement. Notice how the power reserve has moved to the back, this gives a cleaner look.
From the Contemporary Collection
Pam359 (steel, P.9000 automatic movement, 3 day power reserve), Pam351 (titanium, P.9000 movement), Pam352 (titanium, P.9000 movement), from left to right.
Check out the vintage patina dial on the Pam359. The indices have a faint orange feel, and the styles of the indices are also a bit different, reflecting a vintage look. Very beautiful! This will be a very hot piece I think.
Radiomir 10 day GMT in 47mm (Pam323), Luminar 1950 10 day GMT in ceramic (Pam 332).
The bottom crystal of the Pam332 is "smoked glass", so the movement appears to be black-coated even though is it not. (unfortuantely with the flash, such interesting effect is lost).
A redialed edition of the GMT Alarm.
From the Special Editions
Perhaps the hottest Panerai this year is the Pam339. It has an 8 day movement using P.2002/7, measures 47mm, with solid back, and uses a "Panerai composite material" for the case, essentially transforming aluminum to ceramic atom by atom, resulting in an interesting dark chocolate/rust-colored metal.
This new material is said to be much stronger and tougher than ceramic, but the look is very unique. Sorry the camera does not capture the color very well. The vintage leather strap is extremely soft and very beautiful. The overall color combination has a strong military feel.
Mare Nostrum re-launch (Pam300), with the new Minerva hand-wound chronograph movement. Historically important piece. However, not to my taste and it is too big at 52mm.
Other Interesting Models.
Radiomir GMT 24 hour with tuxedo striped dial.
Also, check out this Radiomir Regatta with 1/8 second foudroyante, and with knots measurements on the right hand side.
Finally, the Specialty Pieces... Panerai is Getting Complicated!
Scienziato(Pam348). Check out this Panerai-style skeleton dial. Very industrial and cool looking, with design elements from wire fences.
Astronomo (Pam365).
The Jupiterium
Panerai did not introduce any new Ferrari models this year. By the way, Panerai still has the contract w/ Ferrari and is still currently producing Ferrari models.
Hope you enjoyed the photos.
Cheers,

The 2010 novelties are even better than last year's. I'm super excited about several models, and still trying to digest everything.
WOW.

PS -- nice sleeve monogram.
Make sure you get some sleep if you can

Didn't realise the Jupiterium was so big..!!
On the Astronomo PAM365 won't the month hand cover the date window in March..?? Seems a bit odd if it does..!!
What shame the PAM346 has a date window..
Other than that it was about as close to perfect as possible without actually being a PAM190....so close.
Thank you so much Z3 for your report, it covered everything perfectly..
Yours,
Andy.
Thanks a lot for the effort and sharing. Looking forward to test drive them when they will finally reach our AD's (I'm in Singapore and Malaysia), but am afraid some may not see daylight as they will probably be gone before even reaching the AD's....
But OP has indeed made huge efforts in bring so many new pieces year after year for the past few years!
thanks for the hard work...
the 346 has me looking...
