Still in love with this line, at the point I would gladly consider this one, the Pre Vendome 301/A or 304, and the huge PAM 300 or its titanium version, the PAM 603.
My Panerai period was really a long time ago…. more than 20 years since I was deeply into it. These days it’s much less, although the 5218 did trigger my interest again. But something tells me (I could be completely wrong) that the Mare Nostrum came out in the early ’90s with a bezel marked in km/h. Those pieces didn’t sell at all and remained unsold. Later they were taken back and the bezel was changed to a tachymeter. Anyway, I’m not 100% sure, but that’s what I seem to remember. If that’s true, I’d prefer the original km/h bezel
A chronometer with a tachymeter which is most likely not very useful to sailors, all that with a not very exciting movement. I've been tempted on a few occasions because of the compact case compared to other models.
of the 3 people that love the MN, in the world. Commercially, the MN line has been a fiasco (like the Chianti bottle, of old) my friend. Lollllllllllllllllll They stoned Panerai for the cheap Unitas movement. Imagine a cheap chrono one. That being said, if I were a MN buff, I would certainly own a 008 Pre-V. I find it a very handsome model with a beautiful t-dial
