My first pam was a 1st gen 562 with the sandwich dial but I think I actually prefer the 2nd gen dial version. My biggest gripe with the p5000 is that unlike the p2002 it only has 2 barrels instead of 3 to achieve 8 days of PR and it takes quite a few turns to fully wind the watch. The mechanical feel is quite limited too. That being said mine was very reliable and accurate.
