I’m still tempted. It’s a beautiful piece. But, I was ‘distracted’ by the 1948 Seamaster Small Seconds, which I should have next month! Hopefully, there will be a future PAM in my collection.
I got an email from Panerai featuring this and two others with the "military green" dial. One of the two others is a 47mm version but with black DLC'd case.
...bought one this morning. #22. It usually takes me months to buy a watch and I had been mulling over the H10 speedy forever. This seems like a better choice. I would have never considered a 45mm case prior to this with my small wrist. It’s really fairly slim for a Panerai - 12+mm. I am still waiting for my 806 reissue later this summer....
I swear this was the nicest Panerai in the entire boutique. Looks great with other straps.
I’m a vintage watch collector. Rolex, omega and jaeger. Never have I really considered buying a Panarei until I saw the 995 with sub seconds in the window of Panerai central in Florence, Italy, last week. The dial is amazing. It looks black or brown or olive depending on the angle. In short, it has a depth of color to it that is striking. The glass is beveled so it looks old school. The movement is the off center one, so it is thinner than the other Radiomirs. At 45mm it definitely can be worn formally or informally. So I bought it. First new watch I ever bought. Never spent that much on a watch. They’re limited to 1000 and only available at the boutiques. No give on price but they threw in an alligator and suede strap. Of course I get VAT back so I saved about 15 percent or so.
