. . . that's proven itself worthy over a decade of production. All but one of my G O's have been fitted with this dependable performer.

from now on all automatic rotors of caliber 39 (now they call it GO 39 rather than GUB 39) will not have the 21K gold rim? I saw this "earthy" version a long long time ago and always thought it was the prototype of "standard" version of caliber 39. So it puzzles me when I see it return to life.

Thanks in advance for your insights.

. . . considering the entry-level pricing of this model, my sense is that the gold rim was eliminated due to cost. It doesn't appear to be an issue with higher priced iterations, like the Square Sixties . . .

I took this with no camera flash too.  Shot at ISO 800 in store lighting along with the help of Photoshop went better than I expected.  I wish I left my flash at home, and only shot without flash at the very end.  My no flash pics came out much better than the flash pics which is unusual given the dim lighting at the store.

The GO Senator Rattrapante's display back was a joy to view and photograph.  Beautiful movement.

Hey!  Totally off topic, but what kind of persimmon tree do you think I should plant in my backyard?  You like persimmons, right?  Know anything about the different varietals?

. . . the hachiya variety that looks like an acorn and has to be overripe (or else you'll pucker like a blowfish), and the fuyu variety that looks more like a tomato, and should be eaten while crisp. The family orchard has four acres of fuyu persimmon, and I could probably consume half an acres worth myself - they're that good. You'll get a chance to taste a fuyu on Sunday - that's a promise! Just be warned that I've never been a persimmon person.  They are "okay."  Perhaps, your fuyu will change my mind!  My dad and I are going to plant a persimmon and a jujube tree in my yard, because he and my mom like those fruits, and they can't grow them in Virginia apparently.  Currently the new house has a humongous orange tree (looks like they might be Valencias) and a small fig tree that looks a few years away from bearing fruit.

. . . which seems to appeal to many who don't normally find themselves drawn to other designs from the manufactory, and conversely repels some G O devotees.

. . . to appreciation. A wrist shot goes a long ways in ameliorating what can, in the abstract, be seen as an uncharacteristically decorative presentation.

First with the Rattrapante, now with the PanoInverse...

To me, the 2 most appealing pieces from GO, the 2 which are, at least, in my wish list.
